A man came as before once told.

One of lore so distant and very old.

He was to come to live and help us out.

The message is strong, true, and stout.

He needed help to give the word of love.

His help had to be here. Not from above.

He received six that were honest and true.

Asked them to bring six more, just like you.

Twelve were cast to be given to all.

The first one was to lead by God’s call.

Each one was unique in their earthly position.

At first, they thought they knew their mission.

They slowly learned about truth, light, and the way.

All had many questions and confused things to say.

Slowly they learned. Wisdom they did not shun.

All true to heart and God. Except maybe one.

He carried the bag with silver and coin.

Ultimately self and deceit he would join.

The Master would sometimes rebuke them all.

Eleven saw good. One selfishness would call.

With time the slow burn of self-cause inside.

His soul was tainted with self-will and pride.

Here with him was the son of God.

His betrayal had been a greater nod.

Didn’t believe the savior was with him.

The future of his soul looked quite grim.

Ridiculed by many, He could not afford.

Betray him now of his own accord.

Snuck away to tell, but not for coin.

To restore his image, Public favor to join.

He pointed out Christ. Arrested him they did.

Most Apostles ran away. Scattered and hid.

The story goes on. You must know the rest.

With his word in you, can you handle the test?

We all wish to be with God’s staff and chariot.

But do we really know the lessons of Judas Iscariot?

If you listen, he can tell a little about us inside.

Do we mimic his selfishness, maybe his pride?

The Apostles and Angels teach much that’s right.

But Judas shows us the path to enduring plight.

Please do not lie, but you know what’s within.

It’s a piece of Judas. Selfishness and Sin.

Dig deep. Look hard. Comb through your spirit.

With trust, patience, and God, you can hear it.

Look closely and you’ll see it’s not Judas inside.

It’s the animal part of you. Escape, you’ve tried.

Great victories you made to go away from Skin.

Build God’s Kingdom with bricks from within.

Sometimes you have to use a stained or chipped brick.

Making a strong structure of your source is the trick.

A cracked or broken brick, like Judas, do not use.

Use your love and spirit to faithfully choose.

In mortal life, God’s structure you may not complete.

But the truth and compassion you build are replete.

The eleven gave us Christ’s spirit of truth so great.

But the one gave us things, that everyone can relate.

Listen to the eleven and less of the one.

Eventually, you will live with the loving Son.
