Your TV.

The devise boots up. The screen becomes a glow.

Select entertainment, or to teach and to know.

If to entertain us. We surrender our minds.

To teach us. We must learn of all kinds.

And if we watch the news, we must be careful.

They want to fill our brains and minds so dareful.

Many people think “This is the true world I see.”

“If I see it on the screen, it surely must be.”

Watch it all hanging on the edge of the seat.

Just for entertainment. The happiness is replete.

The TV has evolved over so many years.

Some, it brings joy. Others it brings tears.

Back in the day tried to be virtuous and true.

Now it brings anything, to get watched by you.

Caters to the animal. The savage inside.

Even blatant sex. They in no way hide.

Children see this. They seem not to care.

They say they are just trying to be fair.

Anything you desire for your eyes to drink.

Many watch so closely. They don’t even blink.

See who hurts who. Whose death is the prize?

Let's watch the news. Listen to what they say.

Told from a perspective. They spin it their way.

Report this politician good. This one, so bad.

Swaying the vote. You’re supposed to be glad.

Change the channel with the remote in hand.

Makes us all lazy. Different channels we demand.

Now you watch sports. How many stand for the flag?

Stars and stripes make patriots proud. Some call it a rag.

Athletes know they are displayed on TV.

Their political views. They force you to see.

Back in the day watched athletes so humble.

Now you watch. Many have riches they fumble.

And children’s TV. They watch. They hear.

Some of their characters have turned up queer.

Teach them on screen. It's not what most parents want.

Show them things that the agenda wants to flaunt.

The TV is now a computer. Can take you so far.

You can be from your kitchen an internet star.

Then there’s the filter so you do not see.

Broadcasting only how they want you to be.

Now that you know, as taught from the screen.

Little do most know. They are part of the machine.

More and more they are wiping away God.

Treating spirit as if it were a form of fraud.

Only showing things that effectively sell.

I wonder why this society is going to hell.

Be wise. Research the TV as a possible tool.

If you just ride along, you may become a fool.

The effect of the screen, on your mind may straighten or bend.

Like a gun. It can be your worst enemy or your best friend.
